Morton’s Neuroma can be a diagnosis that no runner wants to hear. Many runners diagnosed with this condition are afraid that they will not be able to keep training or exercising as they have before. Thankfully, there are many exercises that you can do if you have been diagnosed with Morton’s Neuroma.

Despite the discomfort of this condition, Morton’s Neuroma will not limit your ability to engage in many activities. There are many ways to stay active when you have been diagnosed with this condition, and you will not have to give up working out in general just because of your diagnosis.

 

What Exercise Can I Do With Morton’s Neuroma?

Morton’s Neuroma is caused by nerve inflammation in the foot or feet, so you will need to make sure to use a balance of careful exercise and careful stretching to maintain your comfort as you heal. For those diagnosed with this condition, it is important to remain active and introduce post-exercise care correctly. 

1. Swimming

This is an excellent exercise for those with Morton’s Neuroma, and it will allow you to get your cardiovascular efforts in each week without putting strain on your feet. Being able to use your whole body to work out and also being able to challenge your lungs is a massive benefit of this kind of exercise. You can replace all of your running days each week with swimming as you heal or replace part of them to give your feet a rest.
